Why refer to me?

I have been a qualified dog trainer under the IMDT since 2020. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Zoology with a specialization in animal behaviour, which I achieved in 2012. I am currently undergoing assessment to be a full member of the Animal Behaviour and Training Council.

The methods I use are evidence-based and kind, with animal welfare and safety as my top priorities.

Why is referral needed?

As you are aware, to work with behaviour problems effectively we need to ensure the patient is in good health, as behaviour change is commonly a symptom of pain or illness.

Veterinary involvement is therefore crucial for understanding the role of medical factors in the behavioural issue to determine the appropriate treatment strategy for each case.
